The Royal Palace in Bangkok, Thailand

Our first visit to the Royal Palace in Bangkok was almost ten years ago and I had a wonderful memory of the complex. There was a peaceful atmosphere surrounding the different buildings and the tourist visiting the palace were very respectful and silent.

Year later, on our trip to Cambodia we stopped in Bangkok for a few days and decided to visit the Palace for the second time; the experience was completely different. There was an incredibly long queue to get in and the hot weather didn't help at all.The peaceful atmosphere was replaced by a noisy crowd.
The place is worth visiting but don't forget to go as early as possible, wear comfortable clothes, a fan, a hat, water and be prepared to wait in line for a long time. You will be lucky if you are able to take a picture with no tourists in it.

These pictures are from my second visit to the Royal Palace.
