The Memory Box by Eva Lesko: Review

The Memory Box
The first word that comes to my mind after reading this book in one day and a half is unputdownable!. Even if I did lots of other things during that day and a half , I devoted all my free time to reading this captivating novel.

I don't really know how to describe Caroline, the main character, without giving the plot away. She made me feel worried, then sorry, later upset and finally terrified. She seemed to be a regular suburbian mother of two lovely girls and an apple pie contest winner ,who happened to google herself one day.I also felt hungry, like having a Sno Ball or two.

The Memory box is a story about love, obsession, hatred and crime. A novel about those sometimes horrible things that are hidden behind the white picket fences of  suburbian neighbourhoods. Unbelievably,  this is Eva Lesko's first novel, who is also a suburbian mother of two children .

I recommend this book to mystery lovers who have free time, because once you start reading it you will want to find out more, and the more you know, the more eager you will be to know it all. Unfortunately, once you know it all, you won't be able to unknow it.

Sometimes, it may not be a good idea to google oneself . Sandra Bullock googled herself and this is what she found out.

The Inca's Bridge (El Puente del Inca) in Mendoza ,Argentina

The so called Puente del Inca is a natural bridge over the Vacas River in the province of  Mendoza, Argentina. It is situated at 2,740 m (8,990 ft) above sea level.

In the pictures you can see an abandoned railway station which has been turned into a museum. The place is worth a visit  and even Charles Darwin thought so, when he went there in 1835.

In order to get there you can either rent a car or book an excursion, you will find lots of Argentinian tourists and some foreigners .

There is a church nearby.Argentina is mainly a Catholic country.

Even in September when the winter has already finished in the Southern Hemisphere, the weather is quite cold.

Opposition by Jennifer L. Armentrout: Review

Opposition (Lux, #5) Last year I read the first four books of the saga in a row and I really liked them. It is not so easy to find a saga worth finishing nowadays, but the Lux Series captivates the reader.

At the beginning I had a confusing mess in my head with all the characters and all the different races: Luxen,Arums, hybrids and Origins but after the first chapter,  I remembered all of them.

Daemon, for sure, is the hardest one to forget. As a matter of fact, I think he is one of the most romantic YA boyfriends ever, perhaps because he is from another planet. On the other hand ,Kate has left her blogging years far behind and is trying as hard as she can to save the planet and her friends.

The author has ended her saga with the right amount of loving and fighting ,there is not a dull moment in her novel.I liked Opposition as much as the rest of the books.  I recommend the whole saga to sci-fi lovers who like romance as well.
