The Problem with Forever by Jennifer L. Armentrout

The Problem with Forever
This is the kind of book you don't expect from this author , there are no aliens, no paranormal beings and no mystery. It is about life and how hard it gets for some people who are not born in a loving family or who end up in the wrong side of town.

Mallory and Ryder grew up together in a horrible foster home and managed to survive. After being separated for several years they happen to end up in the same high-school. Ryder is still a foster child with a Puerto Rican family and Mallory has been adopted by Carl and Rosa , two successful doctors.

The book is really engaging at the beginning and you will read the first chapters holding your breath and sighing . However, as you continue reading you start to figure out what is going to happen and some parts are a little cliché.Don't get me wrong , this doesn't make it a bad novel at all, I think Jennifer L . Armentrout is a great author but there are certainly no surprises for an avid reader. I also missed some more depth in the characters of Rosa and Carl, I would have liked to know more about how they felt and what they thought.

All in all it is a good book and a chance to read a different kind of novel from Jennifer L. Armentrout.
