Kuching: Capital City of Sarawak in Borneo, Malaysia

Kutching means "cat" in Malay and it is situated on the Sarawak River. It was scorching hot and humid but the city is worth a visit and a must because it is the starting point for many excursions.

The colourful Tua Pek Kong Chinese Temple is close to the river .

Some views of the city.

The beautiful pink and gold State Mosque.

The Sarawak museum and the surrounding buildings.

Fort Margherita.

My favourite place in many of the cities I have visited is the local market. It gives you a unique perspective of everyday life.
