Sport Bar: a must in San Sebastian.

 This bar, located in Fermín Calbetón street in San Sebastian is small and may not have the biggest variety of pintxos on display, however, the quality and the flavour of the ones they serve is outstanding. I loved it so much, that it was the only one I visited twice during my stay in the city.

 If you love cup noodles, you certainly must try Nissin's new and crazy idea: sodas with noodle flavours to celebrate its 50th anniversary.

La Brasserie Marie Galant in Donostia - San Sebastian: opinion.

 I recently visited this fancy restaurant to celebrate a special occasion and to enjoy the fine cuisine of the area. I wasn't disappointed, in fact, I was quite surprised by the quality of the food and by how professional the members of the staff were.

 The dining room was beautiful, the views of La Concha were magnificent and all in all, it was a really memorable experience.

The restaurant is located in La Concha promenade, on the ground floor of a beautiful hotel.

The dining room was quite elegant and comfortable.

First, we got a delicious appetizer of white sauce and serrano ham.

We had their popular fish soup which was incredibly tasty.

We also enjoyed some sautéed fried rice with prawns and an egg.

Then, an assorted fried dish.

And for dessert, some homemade cheesecake.



It was a once-in-a-lifetime experience in a classy Basque restaurant.

Panchineta: a traditional Basque Cake from Casa Otaegui.

 One of the most popular and traditional cake shops in Donostia - San Sebastian is Otaegui. It was founded in 1886 and they are the creators of this famous Basque dessert. Panchineta cake combines crusty puff pastry, custard, and delicious toasted almonds. If you love cakes, you must try this one!

Hemeretzi Bar in Donostia - San Sebastian: nice place for pintxos.

 Hemertzi Bar is in 31 de Agosto street in the old part of Donostia. It has not only a wide range of pintxos but it also has fish for sale. The place is usually crowded and that's not surprising at all given how delicious their pintxos are and the wide variety on offer.

It's located in the most popular street in the old part, so you cannot miss it.

If you get there early, you'll be able to sit inside although there are a couple of tables outside too.

Txepetxa in Donostia - San Sebastian: wonderful anchovies .

 If you love anchovies, this tapas (pintxos) bar is the best place for you. Located in the old part of San Sebastian (Donostia) in the north of Spain, it's known all over the world for its famous anchovies.

It opens at 12 at noon and gets crowded really quickly because of its popularity. 

The first one is anchovy with jardinera (a salsa of red and green peppers and onions). The second one is anchovy with crema de centolla ( spider crab cream).

Lava Custard Puff Macao Flavour

During another visit to my favourite Asian supermarket, I bought a  custard puff which was worth the price because it took me a little bit back to a day I spent in Macao eating delicious Egg Tarts. 

 

The Best Cheesecake in Donostia- San Sebastian.

 The best cheesecake in Donostia-San Sebastian and probably in Spain can be found in La Viña, located in the old part of the town. I have tastes cheesecakes all around the world and this is without a shadow of a doubt among the best if not the best one. 

It's creamy, soft, and not overly sweet. I queued for forty minutes the first time I bought it and it was worth every second. 

It's around five euros per serving which may sound expensive but the moment you take the first bite you'll forget about the price.

They make lots of cakes every day and sell all of them.

The bill shows the price for two servings.

Asian Supermarket Haul: Spicy Pork Bone Soup and Rice Crackers

 Having had to spend such a long time without travelling has proven to be quite difficult for me. So when I found out that there was an Asian supermarket not far from where I live, I went there with a big shopping bag and an empty stomach.

This is what I got: furikake (I almost cry when I saw it), lots of noodle soup, oyster sauce, Kewpie mayonnaise, rice crackers, seaweed, and shrimp crackers.

Today I'm having  Spicy Pork Bone Soup from China and Taiwanese rice crackers for dessert. 

I can more or less figure out how to cook the soup because of years of noodle soup tasting and thanks to Google Translator. 

It turned out not to be too hot but I decided not to add the black vinegar. The taste was rich and delicious. One of the best instant noodles I've ever eaten.

I'm definitely going back to that supermarket and I'm naming it Asia Mart after the shop that appears in one of my favourite Korean TV shows Sisyphus: The myth.

Sushi Neko : best sushi in Daegu, South Korea.

We ended up in this restaurant by sheer luck, we were starving and saw that it had menus in English. What a great choice! The sushi was not only excellent but also huge. We had both lunch and dinner there because of its amazing quality and good prize. The walls were covered by photos of famous customers and the waiters were friendly.
