We will still have to wait for the fifth  season to begin but the sneak peaks are already here as well as news about new characters in the show. Shaun Sipos will join the cast to play an important role in Elena's life.Rumour has it that Caroline will be interested in Kendrick Sampson, I think this girl has a very good taste.

Where to eat in Langkawi: Perdana Quay

Perdana Quay is full of restaurants that attract many tourists tired of hotel food. Asian, Italian, International, Malay, Greek and Russian places to cater for almost all tastes. These are some of those ones.

You can enjoy a wonderful meal and a nice view in Perdana Quay
Our favourite one without a shadow of a doubt was The Loaf Bakery & Bistro. You can dine inside with air conditioning or outside by the sea.The restaurant offers a wide variety of dishes, both western and eastern and includes a bakery with the most delicious pastries you can dream of. The service and especially the chef, who greeted us every day,  are excellent. The Crab Cake Sandwich and the Lobster Bisque were my favourite dishes.Besides you could choose the type of bread you wanted for the soups, I strongly recommend the sesame one, it was made in heaven. There is another Loaf at the Pavillion in KL.

Just by The Loaf, there was a nice Italian restaurant where we had dinner once. Mare Blu  restaurant  was a nice place, with good service and good food,

In Tapaz restaurant we also had a good experience.Although the name sounds Spanish there was more Greek food that Spanish style one.

Privilege Restaurant offered Malay style cuisine. It had very good reviews but we didn't  have the chance to go there.

There was a Russian restaurant as well, with real Russian food which we didn't dare to taste and an Oriental style one as well. Nearby there was a pizza place which we didn't see open and a mini-market which came in handy more than once.

Chao Phraya River in Bangkok

Public transport in Bangkok is really useful both for tourists and for locals. The MRT in Bangkok is really easy to use and you can go almost anywhere. I took the Silom Line, got off at  Silom  Saphan Taksin Station (or S6 Station), went out through Exit No. 2 and then took the Chao Phraya express boat which was packed with foreigners who wanted to see a different side of Bangkok. From the boat, you can see the contrasts along the riverbanks, the modern city and the traditional one.

The Petronas Towers at Night : Photos and Tips

Some time ago I saw an article in a book about the Petronas Towers that I couldn't forget, somehow it got stuck in my mind for years. Then I watched that commercial : Malaysia Truly Asia, and I thought if not now ,then when?.

The first time I saw the Petronas Towers I thought they were amazing, and I have thought so everytime I have seen them , specially at night. For me this building is second to none.

They were designed by the Argentinian architect Cesar Pelli and it took several years to build them. When you look at them you see what Malaysia is like, the perfect combination of tradition and modernity. And we you look around at the people who gather by the towers you see what the world is like , at least just for a few moments ,people from different places, races and beliefs together in peace.

The first time you see the towers should be at night, that way you can really appreciate the magnificent beauty of the building.

This is the way you see the Petronas if you come to KLCC using the newly built and really handy walkway  (more or less 15 minutes on foot  from the Pavilion )and walk along the park.Don't take the underground passage to the shopping centre, it's much longer and be careful with the car that takes guests to and fro from the Traders hotel.

Walk along the park to see them properly from the front. It is a really safe area full of people of all ages and some security guards.

The light and water show makes the towers  even more beautiful.

See more interesting information on how to get there, tickets to the skywalk , Aquaria....  here.

Du Viet at Suria KLCC Vietnamese Restaurant

On the Fourth level of the impressive shopping centre Suria KLCC in Kuala Lumpur you can find one of the best and most affordable Vietnamese restaurants in the city.
Whenever I am in Malaysia I never miss the chance of tasting their delicious Pho and some spring rolls. What's more ,the service is excellent. If you are in KL and miss authentic Vietnamese food go to Du Viet, you won't regret it.

After Earth was shot in Costa Rica

While watching After Earth with Will Smith some of the scenes reminded me of one of the most beautiful countries in our planet: Costa Rica.

In fact, the film had been shot there , in Arenal Volcano National Park, Puerto Viejo river and in Sueño Azul Resort  in Sarapiqui according to this article from a Costa Rican newspaper in which the dangers both Will and Jaden Smith faced because of  the local fauna : insects and snakes are mentioned.

Cambodia Photos: Bayon Temple (Angkor)

Going to Angkor Wat was the fulfilment of a long-held dream. Nothing I have seen so far compares with the beauty and the magnificence of these temples.

The Bayon temple is the first one I saw of the complex. It was built around the end of the 12th century in Angkor Thom, Jayavarman's capital. It is and impressive expression of Khmer arquitecture.
